Today was our first "Kid's Kreate" class for the October school holidays and the
girls had a lot of fun making "Shaped Cards."
You can see by the expressions on their faces that there was a lot of concentrating going on!!!
Click here to see what other great classes are on these holidays. Some classes are fully booked, however there are a couple that still have spaces. Phone the shop on 92792183 or email us here to check on availability.

A Very Proud Mum!

Friday was the last day of the school term for our children and my daughter Grace was performing in a Talent Show at her school. It was her choice to audition and she chose her dance, music and costume!

She was excited all week - and I must say that I was a little nervous for her because she is only seven after all - and the concert was in front of the whole school!

SO here she is - my baby (where did the last 7 years go)!!

I was SO proud of HER.
Her confidence... Her innocence... Her excitement... and her willingness to give things a go.
I just had to share this proud moment with you all!
Jo :)

Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Don we now our gay apparel,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
Troll the ancient Yule tide carol,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

See the blazing Yule before us,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Strike the harp and join the chorus.
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Follow me in merry measure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
While I tell of Yule tide treasure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Fast away the old year passes,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Sing we joyous, all together,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Heedless of the wind and weather,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

We LOVE Christmas - and we particularly LOVE the new Fa La La range from Making Memories!! Make sure you come into the store to check out these amazing papers and embellishments because Fa La La is a limited release from Making Memories so once it's gone - it's gone for good!!

Just a quick note to let you all know that over the School Holidays, Tomorrow's Memories is making ALL of their "Specials Papers" 50c EACH!

We have had so many new papers coming in over the past few weeks and we have needed room to put them, so many of the "Special" papers are quite current papers that there may be just a few of left or that we simply didn't have room for on the shelves.

So come in over the holidays and make the most of this amazing offer!

We hope you all enjoy the school holidays and don't forget that we still have some places in one or two of our kid's classes that start next week.

More Collaborative Scrapbooking!

So as some of you may have seen by now, the Collaborative Scrapbooking page went to Tracey...
And this is what she did - got to love that Twiddleybitz!!

The page has now gone on to Evana - so who knows where it will go from there! Stay tuned and check out the Collaborative Journal Blog here to follow this exciting story!

Competition Winners

Make sure you go here to see who the winners are for the July and August
"Scrap Challenge" and "Card Challenge". Congratulations ladies, your designs were exquisite!

Collaborative Scrapbooking

So you know how it is - you're on the computer checking out your favourite blogs, seeing what people are up to and being inspired by all the amazing people out there!! Then you come across something that grabs your interest and before you know it, you are miles away from where you started and inspired by someone you have never met before!

This happened to me when I stumbled across this lady, Mandi Miles from a comment she made on Elsie Flannagan's blog. Mandi has started an exciting new "Collaborative Scrapbooking" project and I was privileged enough to be the first person to start the Australian leg of this journey. Here is what Mandi sent me.

And this is what I added. I must admit, it was really hard not to add too much!! I added a cute daisy ribbon and removed the definition of "Bloom" from an old dictionary, attached it to a tag and topped it off with a KI Bloom Chipboard flower.

The layout is now on it's way to the next lucky person. (Stay tuned!!).
If you would like to find out more about this exciting concept click here. Thanks Mandi for letting Australia be a part of your inspirational project.
If anyone out there would like to be a part of the Australian leg of this Collaborative Scrapbooking project, click here so that we can pass your details along to the next talented lady.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Welcome Kristen!

We are extremely excited to welcome Kristen Sparkes to our teaching team here at TM. Kristen is going to teach our
"A Scrapbooking Journey" series of Beginner classes and has spent the last month, along with Sonya, redeveloping this series of classes to bring you new and up-to-date layouts using the latest techniques and products.

Click here for more information on "A Scrapbooking Journey"

Saturday was Kristen's first class (and although she is a school teacher), teaching adults can be quite daunting at first!

Kristen did a great job and everyone really enjoyed their first class of this month's series.

Welcome Kristen, we look forward to having you part of the team and thanks to both you and Sonya for updating and developing a fantastic series of Beginners classes.

Moonlight Scrap

It certainly was a fun night here last night with lots of
laughter and happy tears!! I'm not too sure how much
scrapping actually got done, but we certainly did have fun.
Here are some photos of the colourful evening.

get the feel of the evening!)

Laughing, laughing, laughing .....

Jo and Tracey having some fun!!

Last month Tracey organised this amazing "Dress Forms" swap at TM.
These were the outcome and the very talented Barb framed hers and brought them along on Friday night to show us all. Don't they look amazing!
Well done Barb.

Thanks everyone for another great Moonlight - it really was alot of fun and we look forward to seeing you all next time. If anyone wants more information about our Moonlight Scraps - click here for all the information.
